Arckon -> Send Keyboard event (5/15/2008 11:50:37 AM)

I have just installed War in the Pacific and my firewall has come up saying:

"War in the Pacific.exe wants to send keyboard event to another process."

Can someone explain what is happening here to me?

Thanks.

What O/S are you using? Vista?

WITP runs several threads (simultaneous running processes) and passes data between them.

I am running XP Pro

you may want to try un-install/re-install and be sure to use correct patching sequence
original 1.21 then 1.804 then 1.806.
good luck.

Possibly - but this sounds more like a Windows/Firewall issue.

Clarification: patch sequence is (OLD VERSION)- 1.804 COMPREHENSIVE then 1.806 REVISED

There are 2 versions of 1.804 patch: make sure you use the comprehensive one (the incremental is only good for 1.801 upgrades, iirc.)

Thanks for the replies.

I installed original game then 1.804 Comprhensive.

I have the windows firewall turned off and am using Online Armour for my firewall.
At the moment I am just selecting the "block" choice from my firewall each time I load the game just to be safe, rather than permanently blocking or allowing.

Printed out the tutorial last night and looking at spending some time on the weekend running through that so as I can understanding the first 5% of this game.
