Carrier Based aircraft question (Full Version)

Playing around with some sftypes and is considering some carrier based ones. Is there a way to model carrier based aircraft, or is any aircraft possible to fly from a carrier given the carrier points (or whatever the points to store the ac on the carrier is called)? The reason for asking is I'd like a separate tech tree or two for the carrier aircraft, but unless there's a way to prevent any fighter to fly from the carrier, the point is kind of lost.

I think you just have to make sure that the aircraft that you don't want to be able to fly onto carriers weigh more (per single SFT) than the max carry cap of the carrier. The only negative effect that this might have is in transfer costs of aircraft SFT's. Rather minor, when considering the overall effect.

OK, going to try that. Another question, the range of aircraft is said in the manual to be controlled by a parameter called Air Range (13.7.15 in the manual). However, since I can't find it in the editor, and since it refers to hexes which have very little to do with range in this game, I suppose it's the combination of the Movement type (air10 to air6) and the Action Points available to the SFType (APMod can be used to alter range?)?

Correct, and you do know that you can create new Movement types, right?
