My grandmothers second husband seved on the Hood for 20 years. retired in 1938 lucky for him! I allso worked with a chap who was a crew man on the prince of wales when it was sunk!

my draft concept for the box cover using the same recipe as the above screens, please note the box art isn't part of my brief so I put this up purely for those of you who are curious as to how I would approach the job, IMO the cover has to have some elements of the original to keep the recognition thing going, anyhow perhaps David and Marc will like it and I get the gig! fingers crossed [image]http://www.bullseyegraphics.com.au/matrix/cover-concept.jpg[/image]

I am really liking 3, 5, and 8. IMO 8 could really use sharpening of the face with a whiter flame in the location similar to what you have done with the jet.

Screen 7 is too busy. Screen 6 is a perfect example of good density, foreground to background. For maximum impact, always keep it simple!

They look very nice. I like the tanks in nr 3. Would it be possible to see the tanks on the european background? Nr 6 gives me a feel of the original box. Great work. And last. Hood sailing on the flaming sea almost brings tears to my eyes. Please include it.

I have to agree. The new screens are very nice, but the last one with the battleships... quite impressive!

I really like the last few (artillery crew filling screen, tanks filling screen, battleships filling screen). More picture, less world, less flames.

the hood screen with highlighting as suggested, bit of a balance here between image strength and the fact that these are backgrounds, there will be text etc on top and that needs to be legible [image]http://www.bullseyegraphics.com.au/matrix/start-screen-9-v5.jpg[/image]
