jwxspoon -> Looking for opponent CHS 113 or Stock 13 (6/3/2008 4:57:38 PM)

I'm looking for an opponent for the CHS or Stock version of the 42A campaign. This campaign begins in May 1942 with the Japanese at their historical high water mark and continues throughout the rest of the game as WITP normally does.

I am currently playing the CHS version of 113 as Japanese in another game, so I don't mind being japanese. I would be willing to play allies as well.

There will be some basic house rules, here is a list of the rules I am playing under in my current game. I am open to reasonable additions, deletions or modifications of these rules.

General:

-No City attacks in or out of China
-Para units need to be used as whole units
-No shock attack with pursuit except for tank/cavalry units in Road/rail hexes only (no units can shock attack with pursuit in trail hexes)
-No empty base training runs
-Aircraft Stacking: The maximum number of aircraft that can use an airbase is limited to 110 times the base size.
-ASW TF (6 Ships Max.)
-5000 mines máximun per hex.
-No invasions by subs

Allies:
-2E LBA must stay that way except for few Bolo units which can be upgraded to 4E by default
-4E's naval attack 10k feet Minimum (B-29's can't be set on Naval Attack)
-US 2E minimum 2k Feet Naval Attack till 1943 (commonwealth planes are excluded)
-Chinese units need to change command before exiting China
-Max 2 PT squadrons (6 craft each) per base with Port lvl 4 or less 3 with port level 5 or more

Japan:

- Kwantung Army units need to pay PP to change command to be used outside of Manchukuo
- If Japan wants to attack SU it needs to activate it 2 months before the actual attack
- Japanese ships need to stay off Aden/Panama and 5 hexes from the exit of the sea lanes to them.

Atolls:

-Fortifications: Maximum fortification on an atoll is limited to the airfield SBS + port SBS. For example Wotje is port 1 (1) and airfield 0 (1). The max fortifications would be 1+1 = 2. Note some Atolls will start with larger fortifications – these should not be increased.

-Defensive Stacking limits: Any combination of units up to 10,000 men per max fort level as above in LCUs may be stationed at an Atoll. Each vehicle (tank, engineering vehicle, etc) counts as 4 men. If an atoll starts with higher fort level, that will determine troops limits.

No single ship transport TF’s.

Most of HR rules looks reasonable

But why not CHS 155? In 113 as japanese i will not have any choice what to do - i can only entrech and wait for allied offensive

PM if interested

Simply because I have played a dozen games of 155 as both allies and japanese.  Looking for something different.  From the allied perspective, you are starting to get some of the reinforcements and quality aircraft that will allow you to compete.  As Japanese there is still time to craft an effective long term defense and tweak your economy, and you haven't lost any of your critical ships in the debacle of midway.

I'll take you on as the allies if you'll play the japs
