przy -> Sealion (10/1/2000 4:47:00 AM)

I was just wondering if anyone was working on any hypothetical scenerios for Operation Sealion. I was just curious, as far as I could tell, I am probably wrong here, but I have not noticed any scenerios on the topic. Thanks

thats a great idea for a scenario. I've done german amphib assaults via the battlemaker, 9-40. A whole campaign to take england (imagine the battle for london) is taking it one step further. Could be interesting.

That is an excellent idea. I have seen a book which is about Sealion, and it gives good info on the German preparations. Semper Fi Randy

No one in our group PRZY! I hope you will do it. I think it would make an excellent scenario and an even better campaign, invading England and moving toward London. I like that idea, but I won't touch it if you are gonna do it! I'm trying to find the time to work on a campaign in this area, but I don't have a lot of hard data to use for mapping. My thought was of a campaign based loosely on the descriptions in Kenneth Macksey's book Invasion, though I think some adjustments would have to be made to keep the scenarios interesting.

Isn't there a scenario 'English shipyards' on the depot? Supposedly some kind of a raid...haven't played it yet. Voriax ------------------ OOB-Wan Kenobi

Yup the book INVATION by Kenneth Macksey has some good maps and also their are a few site like the two below that have some good info. http://pages.tca.net/wyvern/sealion/links.htm http://www.flin.demon.co.uk/althist/seal1.htm#part2

i remember seeing a documentary and it mentioned that regular brit folks were being trained for a homeguard. perhaps these could be represented by partisan type if making a new unit isn't possible. also, the brits had a type of anti-landing obstacle which basically turned the shoreline into a big ball of flame.

Drake -> (10/4/2000 10:02:00 AM)

Funny thing about this time is that the best equiped troops in Bretain at this time were canadians. They had them driveing all over the place to make the Germans think they had a more mobile forces then what they had in truth.

i wonder if pitchforks and pen-knives count? thats basically all these farmers and other rural homeguard folks had

Toey -> (10/5/2000 4:37:00 AM)

I am currently reading the book INVASION, and I'm surprised by difference in men and material the German plan to use as opposed to what the Allies actually used. If anyone wants me to scan the maps or anything, just let me know.

Colonel Klink -> (10/5/2000 9:41:00 AM)

i'd like to see a map. so far, this is my favorite thread. i hope we can keep this one at the top for awhile till somebody does the sealion campaign
