Kids these days [8|]

Clicky linky thing [X(]

This part sums it all up really.... [X(]

The pupil is reported to have written "f**k off", and would have had another mark for adding an exclamation point.[X(]

FAIL![:'(]

I personally think the student should have lost one of his/her two points for failing to properly punctuate an explicative. This is what's wrong with education, giving credit where none is due. [8|]

The student got two marks, as they were able to express themselves. Someone without any ability would not have been able to make their feelings known [8|]

Moving slightly OT:
What is wrong with telling people (children especially) that they are a dumbass. It prevents an unrealistic expectation when they hit the real world. Exams should not be a guaranteed pass just for turning up. There should be a realistic fail mark, and shame should be attached for those who cannot pass any of their exams...

Wasn't a problem when I was growing up. I remember one biology teacher handing out tests and remarking "Martin, you would have done better just marking C for every answer." [:D][:D][:D]

Yava -> RE: The Thread!!! (7/1/2008 8:07:02 PM)

Yeah, but from my own experience I know that if I would event try to tell such a thing to the pupil I would be assaulted by his parents the next morning. [:'(]

That's because "c" is the most common answer on multiple choice tests.

[:D] I can remember one of my RAF tests during training, with a 60% pass mark, 50% of the answers were C [X(]

PS, I didn't realise that your name was Martin. There seem to be a lot of us about...

Onime's is not visible to me... NG's and Leo's are...

At work I usually only see mine, but at home I see most. Odd....

Excellent news! [:)]

I need someone to compare notes with again in my struggle against the Martian Invasion. [;)]

Actually, I think we've probably passed you guys, although we're moving quite slow. I just sent Mynok the 2/17/42 turn.
