Sorry for invading your thread gentlemen, but I wanted to thank Nik for the pics and recommendation on the Flying Heritage Museum at Paine Field. I was in Seattle for work and took my Dad and sons to the Museum. a great time was had by all! I truly enjoyed seeing the FW109D-13. The long-nose Dora has been my favorite since childhood. Seeing a P47D up close was also an eye-opener. I always thought of the plane as crude and brutish, but once you see it...I don't recall whose avatar shows a P47 with the caption, "Darwinian Aviation Fanboy", but I really get it now after reading Bergerud and seeing the darn thing. thanks again Nik!
