I know one thing for certain when it comes to terminal illness, and it's this: if you lose hope, you die. I saw it happen to my father.

It's difficult, almost impossible to hope, but you have to, because otherwise it's over.

Bon Courage, mon ami!

Thank you Terminus [:)];
we know that hope CAN'T be disregarded; that's something we went through already, but a new trial is always hard.
Edit: trial is probably not the good word: we are not going to see a judge. Challenge ? (searching for the word, grrrrrrr....) . Test ?

Hi all,

We are as usual amongst the hotter town in France. TOdays is supposed 33° "only" (34° tuesday according to weatherTV, but 37° according to thermometer) .
And things are...well....not quit good. But thanks for asking.
Are things well for you ?

Eric, I am sorry to hear that things are not good with you... I hope this is just weather related and only temporary... [:(]

Leo "Apollo11"

It's related to my wife's health......and probably not temporary. But still waiting some medical results. There is very little hope, but there is still some.

Have a good "semi-vacation " Leo.

[:(] [:(] [:(]

i've seen doctors be wrong in their estimates on individual patients time and again... it is possible to beat the odds, so hang in there!

Bob, we had experienced doctor getting wrong, doctor getting right, doctor just guessing.
As it was something just "sleeping", there is not much to doubt, but in wait of results, we have hope. And i know miss Gladiatt: she had a strong character; it sometime is hard to stand on a day to day basis, but that make me sure she will fight, as she has already done twice. And thank you for your thoughts [:)]

Sorry to hear of your wife's troubles, Eric. I'll be praying for your family.

The best way I have found to get through life's challenges (challenge is a good word for it [;)] ) is to enjoy every day as much as possible. Look for the good and fun things in every day and dwell on them instead of the hard, not so fun parts. [:)]

Mike, thanks for the thought [:)].
Not trying to complain, because many people had endured hard things and challenges.
But: things and advice are easy to tell (and they are indeed good advice). It's someting else to live them...but we try to live as "normal" as possible: movie, restaurant, walk in forest, and so on....anyway, usually when night come or when tired (has anybody noticed that when you are tired, the bad thoughts came more easily), the anxiety come back....
Don't get me wrong: i am not telling you "yeah man, that's easy to tell when you are not in it!!". I am saying: thanks guys (you both), i know you're thought are sincere and your advice sounded, but it is our fight, (and even more HER fight, with anybody that could come along to help her).
Well, the good part is that her disease (should i really tell the name?) is PROBABLY not deadly. But there is always a risk. The good part, as i said to Bob: Miss Gladiatt character is Strong ! she will catch the disease, torn it, give it a blow, bite it a bit, and win upon it. After all, she has an 1/4e of italian blood, if you see what i mean....
And thanks to all thread brothers who really take care , it's warming my heart (ohhh, this is a direct translation, i hope you will understand).
Eric

edit for typo: live, not leave (not the same meaning [:o] )

Some more NASA news: they were going to re-process the original moon-walk footage (broadcast from the moon in an odd, non-tv compatible format that when converted to broadcast footage was drastically degraded)... however, they ran into a problem... it seems NASA erased and taped over the original reels of tape... i'm guessing it was for an episode of Monday Night Football... [X(] [:-] [:'(]

They are trying to recreate everything by finding some of the converted images and reprocessing those tapes.

Nope... it exists... Robert... [:)]

There is DVD called "Moonwalk One" and it was due out June 21st (i.e. one month before the 40th landing anniversary)...

BTW, I have "In the Shadow of the Moon":

We are preparing for a 1st Birthday in less than a couple of months, so you can guess that we are kept pretty busy by the little fella now he is noisy and far too mobile and inquisitive. Has the recession meant that you have had to sell the Jag or the Posrche?

Yes, tapes/films of the moonwalk exist, but not the original tapes...

The complete, fully reprocessed images are due out in September, but numerous fragments of reprocessed images are currently available.
