Hair splitting - referring to one's racial subtype is still racial.
I particularly liked his offhand anthropology, with the (nonspecified) identification of three human "races" and three "sub-races," or whatever he called them (I find the words of people who talk this way less than memorable, I guess).
But, now, I'm related to a lot of Poles ... and Czechs ... and Russians ... and other Slavic types. I'm also related to Angles, Saxons and Picts, oh, my! I got goose-steppin' Teutonic blood in my veins, too. Shoot, I'm even one-sixteenth South Fork of the Cheyenne.
Dog from every town, that's me. I prefer to talk in terms of "human" when it comes to races. The sooner we all decide to do that, the sooner we can get back to the good old days of insulting each other in healthy ways...
