Artillery affects on terrain (Full Version)

I have installed v7.1 and I notice that artillery, even Russion 152, does not seem to cause damages to terrain or buildings unless the hex had damage added in by the scenario designer. Has anyone else noticed this? Has some change made damage to terrain, roads or buildings from artillery harder to get?

Mine seems to damage terrain, although it does seem harder to do, now that you mention it. Especially with light stuff. I will pay more attention and let you know if my arty isn't doing it.

Maybe your artillery isn't big enough, I had to defend against the entire Red Army last night and can tell you the 155mm's that saved my bacon made the battlefield look like a moonscape...

Gee, even my 152mm do not seem to cause damage to terrain, roads or buildings unless some damage already is present. The same is true about my BM-31 Katushyka's. I wonder if this is related to the change in "splash damage."

Mine works just fine.

I had a 50mm mortar demolish a stone house after hitting it about 30 times.


These hexes are 50 yards so 1 shell no matter how big isnt going to do a great deal.

If the same hex gets hammered again and again no matter what size of the shell damage effects will show up.
