I Just remembered something. I've been to the National Archives II Building in College Park MD and looked through some of the papers they have regarding internal AAF correspondence on bombers. Basically in around late 1944, early 1945; teh USAAF decided to convert all the light and medium bomb units to A-26 Invaders.
