Hey you veteran JTCS do you guys remember the first time you played this game against a human.Well as i write this im playing my first, wow what a great feeling,i feel like im actual on the east front in ww2,it doesnt mean much to me seeing the AI come out into the field with a pile of T-34,sbut when its a human sending out those tanks i actualy feel some fear and concern ,this is just awesome.Anyway i wont forget this little battle or the old veteran who didnt mind playing a green fool like me.

Once you play your first PBEM it's difficult to go back to the AI. Even if the AI was brilliant it wouldn't
evoke the same feeling as playing a human. It feels better to win and worse to lose!
You know there is some swine with a smile on his face when you lose that Tiger [:)]

Ah virgins..........

Always the same old story........

Don't worry, in ten or twenty years the thrill will diminish, or so they tell me! [;)]

Non-owner(never played it) here. Came in to see what the update was about. After reading the pertanent threads, leaves me still undecided. Also, a non-PBem player. I promise some day I will play one. The experience conveyed, by the original poster, peaked my interest.

Hi Zap if you only play the AI then buy advanced tactics. But i own hundreds of war games and play many of them against a human, but JTCS is the only game that will leave you sweating scared and looking to run for cover, when played with a human, theres nothing out there that feels so real.(disregard all v103 problems you are reading about,Matrix as always will listen to its customers and fix and make optional all these issues.[:D]

Hey Zap, JTCS is still the coolest tactical level game out there. The unit sizes are platoon/squad level.

The scenarios range from small to huge, and I do mean huge. In the entire series, there are hundreds of scenarios, also many, many campaigns, where you earn achievement badges for success.

The included map editor is so easy to use, includes all terrain graphics, etc, you'll be able to recreate any battle you want, or what-if's.

The original series was actually 3 different games, and everyone gladly paid full price for each one. Now, you can get all 3 games including all the expansions and add-ons for the price of 1, updated for current operating systems.

Most people that bought the original games have purchased this all in one release because it includes everything. Plus Matrix has greatly updated the game.

Don't worry about the AI, there are a wide range of strength settings and options.

That's why this game is still selling. East Front, West Front and Rising Sun.

It's an all time classic.

Krec -> RE: Remember when (7/14/2008 1:31:14 AM)

the game is the best live,  i have never played a email game that came close to my live game experience.  IMO  its the best play for this game.

For many months I was crushing AI in the old EF and first WF. I remember my surprise when I started my first PBEM against human opponent [:'(]

After loosing something like 5 or 6 battles in a row I have finally won. And never turned back to AI...

Regards
