...and what's so wrong with a light, refreshing lager that quenches the thirst when iced down on a hot summer day? People badmouth Spudweiser all the time, and I don't understand it. I guess maybe everybody always likes to throw cowdung at the big guy, but, come on. What do you want? Egg in your beer? Shoot, I even used to drink copious quantities of Bud Light before I had to give up hittin' the schwiel altogether. I liked it. I remember my son trying to get used to the idea that his old man, a white hoser descended from Dutch stock, liked women of African descent. Once, I got involved with a Chinese woman, and sonny boy was a little confused. He asked me about it. I told him, "Son, even the greatest of wine tasters has to cleanse his palate once in awhile." Yeah, the heavier tasting beers were a big part of my out-of-control habit, but I always subscribed to the Archie Bunker philosophy that, "You can't buy beer, you can only rent it." And, brother, I rented my share. It couldn't all be designer brew. [although this post shows as being in response to yours, Brad, it is just intended as general commentary - and maybe amusement at my expense. I'm not accusing you of being a hop-headed dilettante.]
