Am i right in assuming that if i select an ai county to be on 'very easy' level thenm that country will benefit from a 100 per cent production increase just as a human player would ? thanks

That's correct. So, for examply if you find playing Germany too easy, set v. hard for Germany and Very Easy for UK, USA, France, and russia [:)]
