Dixie was kind enough to help me. Unfortunately he is now on a paid vacation courtesy of Her Majesty so it may be awhile before he is back in the loop.

The process is quite simple if you have done any digital imaging stuff using photoshop or similar. The necessary requirement is to have some artistic talent.......

I have the former, but managed to fail my A level Art many decades ago.....

Roger [:D]

Terminus -> RE: Sig Banner (7/28/2008 10:11:10 PM)

Actually, the banner I'm displaying at the moment is the oldest of the half-dozen I have. None of them were made by me (no artistic talent).

VSWG -> RE: Sig Banner (7/28/2008 10:12:00 PM)

Who made it? It is beautiful.

Terminus -> RE: Sig Banner (7/28/2008 10:13:01 PM)

His name was Subchaser; probably the most talented artist this forum has ever seen. I sent him a picture of an A-26, and he sent me the banner.

cantona2 -> RE: Sig Banner (7/28/2008 11:14:00 PM)

My artistic talent is summed up by my 2nd year art teacher, we wont be seeing you in the Art Room after your options then shall we!! (those of you in the UK will know what options are)

Any tips on how ot make a sig will be welcome as im willing to give it a go

FeurerKrieg -> RE: Sig Banner (7/28/2008 11:56:24 PM)

Subchaser was indeed an great artist. It is a bummer he doesn't seem to be around anymore.

Terminus -> RE: Sig Banner (7/28/2008 11:58:00 PM)

Yeah, real eye for detail. The A-26 pic I sent him had the red stripes in the white bars of the national roundel and he took the time to remove them, so it looked properly WWII'ish...

rogueusmc -> RE: Sig Banner (7/29/2008 12:04:41 AM)

Do you have any art or any ideas about what you want it to look like?

Lee

Brady -> RE: Sig Banner (7/29/2008 1:03:47 AM)

Subchaser made my Val, and a baner for me as well, but I havent used the baner for a bit, as it seams to cause ofense to the more PC crowd.

rogueusmc How did you center your baner?

Gem35 -> RE: Sig Banner (7/29/2008 1:06:26 AM)

Plenty of talented folks here to help I am sure.
Don't mean to speak for you guys but Feurer Krieg and rogueusmc are a couple of them.[:)]
Just be sure to ask really really nice.[:'(]

Lee, essentially it would be on with a sub theme (allied) as its the only aspect of the game i can really say i can master. Do i look for a picture then play around with it?

cantona2 -> RE: Sig Banner (7/29/2008 8:51:44 AM)

Well guys what do you think. Not as impresseive as some of yours but i think its not bad for a first try!

VSWG -> RE: Sig Banner (7/29/2008 10:42:48 AM)

Grotius -> RE: Sig Banner (7/29/2008 8:55:35 PM)

Just took a crack at making my own. I'm OK with Photoshop, so I had fun with it. I'm pretty sure the pic of the Big-E is in the public domain; I got it from this site: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:USS_Enterprise_k14254.jpg .

cantona2 -> RE: Sig Banner (7/29/2008 9:17:41 PM)

Thats a good looking sig Grotius [;)]

Grotius -> RE: Sig Banner (7/30/2008 4:58:12 AM)

Thanks! I like your sig too.

Now I'm waiting for my new avatar to appear. I guess they have to be approved?
