Flak88 -> Another campaign game lost (8/2/2008 7:23:14 PM)

I've been playing Operation Barbarossa South and the campaign crashed on me. Made it to December 1942, finished a battle and got the crusty German general telling me how good I did when it hangs up and gives me the East Front has encounterd a problem and needs to close. I can reload the scenario to the last turn, but it keeps giving me the same error if I try to move foward.

Has anyone else had this problem? Have I encountered another fatal flaw in the Barbarossa campaigns?

Can you zip up your campaign files and post them here? I would be happy to take a look at them.

When did you start your campaign? December 1942, is pretty far along.

Jason,

Are you looking for the CCD and CCX files or something else.

I've been hammering away at my campaign since July 7th. I've been curious to see if I can get through the Barbarossa games so I've kept everything as simple as possible to test the patch.

Thanks.

I am looking for all the files that have your commanders name in the file. I should be able to open the campaign up on my machine with those files.

Jason, you should also get his file called campaign.log. It will show the force purchasing process and may shed some light on where the crash occurs.

Let me know if you need any help combing through these.

My understanding was the crashes were linked to the old OOBs.  Jason made new OOBs that eliminated the crashes, but he left in the old OOBs for those persons who preferred to play with them, but the old OOBs still carried the crash component.  If this is correct, then perhaps Flak88 is playing with the old OOBs.

It turns out there were a couple of contributing factors for this crash, which have been fixed. We are working with Flak88 to get his campaign going again but it requires some surgery to his data files. Fingers crossed.
