Heheheh! Its just as I remember it. [&o] I jumped straight into my 'comfort zone' of the GIUK gap battleset and had a good half-hour on there. The 'Ready Air' buttons, Sensors, etc - all started to come back to me. In no time, I had the AWACS up patrolling Iceland, some Bucaneers getting prepped in Scotland and a worringly close Hormone chopper being detected near my two 'fossil' subs. Clearly, I've got a huge choice of missions to tackle now and it was great to see the Duel scenario still there. That one used to grind my Amiga to a virtual standstill, so hopefully with a semi-decent PC, it should be ok this time around. [:D] I'm still trying to work out what it is that makes Harpoon so unique and downright playable. Show this game to any kid in the PS3 or 360 culture of today and they would just laugh. Harpoon has a depth and a scope that goes way beyond most games of today. In fact, is it even fair to call Harpoon a 'game' as such? I'm so glad I've got it back now. I did have a little concern that I may have been looking back on my previous Harpoon days through rose-tinted glasses and would have been disappointed with it in 2008. I'm really happy to see that its aged gracefully and still grabs my attention nearly two decades later. [:)]
