In the original Harpoon game (Amiga version), I recall an option that allowed you to control all aircraft in the game including air patrols within formation editors. I cannot find this in this version?

However, in his version at the start of a game, groups of ships start sending of air patrols straight away even before I can stop them. The only way to stop or control these air patrols in this version is by going to the formation editor and deleting or changing every air patrol.

Is this correct?

The reason I usually don't want ships sending out to many air patrols is to minimize the chances of the ships been point-pointed by the location of close air patrols i.e. Helos

When you start a new game, you should come to a menu labeled, "Game Options". At this point, you de-select the "Auto Formation Air Patrols" option and your planes should no longer launch by themselves.

I see, thank you I was looking at the options after the game had started.

When you maintain a Navy as fine as mine, nothing goes awry. [:D]

I'll have to hire some of those electronic editors from the Chinese Olympics to 'fix' this error.
