There's no AE. There never was an AE. There's never going to be an AE.

Is the AI still giving you fits? Have you solve that one yet?

Terminus -> RE: the release date (9/9/2008 1:48:16 AM)

We're working on it. I'm not telling you anything secret when I tell you there's plenty to do.

joey -> RE: the release date (9/9/2008 2:04:23 AM)

I imagine there is. I would be very happy if the AI would be as good as the orginal with a few impovements. Namely I would like to see the AI not make silly mistakes. It takes so much away from the game when the AI sacrifices its assets in futile gesters. Are you getting us to this utopia?

Terminus -> RE: the release date (9/9/2008 2:10:27 AM)

Can't promise you anything, except to say we're doing our level best to make something good.

Good. I like goodness.

TheElf -> RE: the release date (9/9/2008 5:33:54 PM)

Good is strange word. I never noticed til now. Try saying "Good" slowly to yourself 10 times. I bet after the third or fourth one you'll get the willies and swear the word off...

Terminus -> RE: the release date (9/9/2008 5:58:12 PM)

Barb -> RE: the release date (9/9/2008 7:21:55 PM)

I am wholy with AE team.
I am myself an IT tester currently working in one financial institution on currency cconversion (old national currency for EURo).
We are now retesting conversion procedures for third time and still getting some A grade 1st priority Bugs (i've get two of them today!). And there is no AI for us to worry about only some calculations. [:D]
(I can say its similar to playing the Grand campaign with AI turned off and looking only for arrivals of reinforcements, economy and base building processes for 3rd time in a row still finding game crasshes in 1945 for unknown reasons). [:'(]

For most of us meteorological summer is over, but astronomical summer has almost two weeks to go...

joey -> RE: the release date (9/9/2008 11:16:29 PM)

Summer, winter, fall, and spring are all so relative, but the lack of AE is absolute! But I have it on NO authority that AE will be far superior from WITP. I believe them. I beleive them all. I must be an American just before an election.

m10bob -> RE: the release date (9/9/2008 11:20:19 PM)

But......maybe "summer" only meant to "go gold"..Still no release date....That is some catch...that "Catch 22"..

joey -> RE: the release date (9/10/2008 1:21:28 AM)

Catch 22: there is no there is no release date because there is no AE: AE does not exist because there is no release date. Even if I am here, I am not here. Is this a Montey Pyton Movie or a Pink Floyd song? I think I am comfortably numb!

Take two vicodin and drink three cups of expresso. That ought to clear things right up.[X(]

joey -> RE: the release date (9/10/2008 2:06:57 AM)

I seem to remember Gracy Slick and Jefferson Airplane and, oh, Timothy Leary. Didn't they advocate some sort of mind enhancing recreational pharmaceutical? Kinda like WITP and AE, but not really? Where does reality cross paths with reality? Too many years under water I guess.

Where on Pangaea aren't we?

Imagine the WITP map for that one.

tocaff -> RE: the release date (9/10/2008 4:45:48 PM)

Well we're approaching summer here even if it's hard to tell the difference.  Winter=pleasant to cool evenings  Summer=balmy nights  Days are usually warm to hot.  [:)]

Didn't Dire Straits have a song entitle  "Money For Nothing"?  Now we can have an anthem sung to that tune.  "I want my AE"..................

For some of us meteorological summer lasts from April to December. Astronomical summer ends September 22 @ 1545 UT.

You don't live far enough south in Florida. Down were I used to live the seasons were Will-Be-Summer, Summer, Was-Summer, and then we have a week of something resembling Winter. We saw snow, once, for twenty minutes,in 1977.
