HI

In the LCG im designing Leaders running around in cars is not going to happen..No company leaders for sure. HQ trucks are gone as well..If its a regimental scale game you get 1 HQ truck..the regimental HQ truck..regimental subunits like battalions get leaders but no HQ trucks..they have no business in a game of this scale. And all they are is an excuse to cheat and use them for line of sight..they should be banned in 1.05 or replaced with something better.

You need HQ's to have a proper supply chain in the game. You arguments against them are really beyond me. How can you cheat with them? These units are very expensive to lose. HQ units (except artillery) are much more important for a good working game than leaders are. That they should be banned in 1.05 is sheer nonsense. You can always replace the truck HQ with a on foot HQ if that suits your needs better.

Hmmmm...excellent point Osiris! And if they're so critical to supply and essential to game play, then why not make them very expensive to lose.? So expensive that you won't see them being used as spotters because the victory points to lose them would be too much to risk losing? Say maybe 25 VP per battalion HQ? And 50VP for a Regimental unit? Maybe 20VP for each leader unit? Personally, in my DCG games, I just hide mine behind an elevated area or in the middle of a forrest at the bottm edge of the map where no enemy unit will likely show up. How can you cheat with them? The AI does it all the time. HQ units are constantly used as artillery spotters staying just out of range of your tank and artillery guns.
