Hi all !

I purchased John Tiller Campaign serie from Digital River with extended download service the 25/08

But, after a lot of disrupt file and download problem, i have this message :

Download errorThe number of downloads you have attempted indicates you are having difficulty receiving your file. Please contact Customer Care for assistance in receiving your product.
Message Number: 12

I contacted the support, the helpdesk, but no answers or solution…
and... no game !!!!

Give it another 24 hours, then PM Erik Rutins to get it sorted out. They're a bit understaffed at the moment with Marc's wedding and other stuff.

Hi Arilir,

Your downloads should reset in 24 hours. If that doesn't work, we can reset them for you manually. Normally you have five download attempts allowed in the first 24 hours to get the game downloaded and we recommend using a download manager that does _not_ use multiple streams (as these can quickly run up the download count) but does allow resuming broken downloads. Star Downloader can be configured for that, among others.

Hm, I just checked your order and it shows 6,968 downloads used... ?! That's a new record. How did you use that many? I actually can't reset that manually, I'll have to ask Digital River for help. I would suggest first waiting for 24 hours to see if it resets and allows another download.

It's an indication of how badly he wants to play that game - and who can blame him ? [:D]

I use Flashget !

This program try to open a lot of connection...

I will try with Star Downloader and a single thread

For the moment, the same error 12. I wait :p

Just for the record. Download managers like Flashget that open hundreds of connection are never a good idea when you download from a shop system. Most shop system have a download connection / retry cap, that you can easily exceed with download managers like this.
