whippleofd -> Help with re-downloading Battles in Normandy (8/29/2008 11:04:08 PM)

Hi all:

On the 18 of August I started the process of trying to get in contact with someone from Matrix so I could re-download some Matrix games I had thought I didn't have copies of.

Turns out I managed to recover all but Battles in Normandy, and I need to re-download it. But no one from Matrix seems interested in helping me out.

I have my code for BiN, and can provide any information other than the credit card I used to oder it because it was back in December of 2004 and I no longer have that card.

Hopefully someone here knows someone who knows someone who can help me get my game back.

Whipple

Hi Whipple,

The only way I know how to re-download an old game is by going to the store link. Then click on order status and you get two options. One is with your email and the last 5 digits of the credit card you used to purchase the game with. The other requires your order number and something else, but I never save the order number, so I never use that option.

Look for an old bill in a drawer somewhere to find your old card number, that’s what I did. You can also go to you banks online site and dig up some old bills that way. Most banks save your records dating back at least 5 years.

Only other option would be to send a post to support and hope for a reply.

Jim

Hi Jim:

There-in lies my frustration: 1) I no longer have the credit card information, I destroyed all records two years after it was cancelled. 2) I have PM'd, and E-mailed an individual and I have e-mailed the company.

I understand there are scammers out there who can get the activation number from someone and then try the exact thing I am doing. I was hopeing that someone on this board would be able to put in a good word for me with "the powers that be" that I'm not trying to steal from the company...I just want my game back.

I purchased BiN about a week prior to buying WiTP. I still have the same e-mail and physical address as well as the same ISP, so even my IP address may be the same (I'm not real sure how that stuff works).

Try posting on the main Tech Support Forum - these types of questions are asked/answer quite a bit over there.
