silentsurfer -> Help with final battle results (10/7/2000 9:40:00 AM)

Hi everyone, me again. I am having some trouble with the final battle results for scenarios in my ww2 campaign (spwaw of course) I have my decisive victory points set at 2000 or more, in my initial battle, I achieved over 5000 points and was still only awarded a draw. This sucks. My victory hexes are set at 20-40 points per turn, my losses are very low (I'm fighting spain in the initial battles) and I'm really kicking the hell out of the enemy (they only score about 1200 pts or so). I'd really like to get this fixed as upcoming battle will determine the thread that the game follows based on the victory status awarded. If anyone has any comments please let me know. Thanks boys and gals (are there any chicks in this forum? Just curious)

Hi SS, You can't set how many points determine what kind of victory you get, I don't believe. I think it's coded into the game. Try leaving an end-of-battle hex untaken until you kill every enemy unit you can. Hopefully Paul or WB will give you a definitive answer. Sounds like a generated campaign, and I'll be honest, I'm not as up to snuff on those as I should be. Scenario and campaign design have limited how much time I can spend on the generated one. Chicks? Bring some with you. Hi surfer. Are you using the linked scenario campagin? If so, then I think that the points you set at the bottom of the screen to determine level of victory, refer to ratio of your points to the enemy's points, and not a set number that you have to achieve. Using your example, if your opponent scored 1200 points, and you have Decisive Victory set at 2000, then to achieve a Decisive Victory you would have had to score 1200 x 2000 = 2,4000,000 points. I could be mistaken but I think that is how it works. I usually set my Decisive level at 10 and a marginal from 2 - 5.

Raindem, you are both a gentleman and a scholar, I will try your suggestion, it makes perfect sense. Domo...domo arigato
