I have played a great deal of 7A games using Cyberboard - it works very well with between 2 and 4-5 players. Regarding the expansion - from Harry: We are looking at 3 themed expansions now; classical, modern, and religious; with the religious including a few new religions (animism, Judaism, Sikhism and atheism all strong contenders). There will also be enough units for an extra 9 civilisations (3 per countersheet, with one countersheet in each expansion) for a grand total of 24 empires which gives you an equal number with 2,3,4,6 & 8 players. There will be an extra set of player markers in each expansion so up to 10 players can now play (or up to 5 with double markers each). You want competition? You can't handle competition!:) The current plan is that each kit will come with 12 cards (which are added to the current deck, except in cases like Japan where yo would remove the current card), one countersheet and a small rules update book that will cover all 3 expansions. But of course with all these suggestions we may end up upping the number of new cards in each kit. We are planning to release the kits in the middle of next year (after the release of the Matrix edition of World in Flames: the computer game) and are currently working with our programming team to incorporate these new features in our computer 7 Ages game which is also planned to be released in 2009.
