The other day I got into SSG site and discovered that there is another game for Carriers ...."The Complete Carriers at War" I now cannot get into this site again! but I would like to purchase this game (from Australia/America, I think?)
Anyone know How I can purchase this game. I have returned to the SSG site again but, this game seems to have disappeared!!
Cheers.

As far as I know, The Complete Carriers at War was only available as a DOS game, back in the Stone Age. I'd be very surprised if you could buy it from SSG directly.

Maybe EBay.

Yes, you can still get it along with some other oldies at SSG-US. SSG-US

It was a DOS game. it might come with 3" floppy disks!

No, it is on CD. The site is legit. Even in cases of DOS games they send instructions and all for dosbox. Other than the annoying setup of the site graphically, it is very good.

It sounds like "SSG US" prints copies of the manual on their own and (possibly) issue their own copies of the CD, without the box. Does anyone know for sure? (I guess they must own the rights for this.) I was looking to buy this, but I would like the original box and manual.

I bought a copy from them a few years ago. At that time they printed and bound a copy of the manual personalized with your name. The Game came on a cd in a jewel case. No box.

Somewhere around here I have a copy I bought when it was originally released. It has a lot of interesting scenarios - just about every major naval encounter of WW2.

In fact, it was seeing a copy of the original Carriers At War sitting in a store in a mall in Portland that made me decide to build a PC and try computer gaming.

I bought the original version of the game, drifted away form and lost it, and then I too bought The Complete CAW.  It's lacking in many respects IMO and again it collects dust as WITP tries to ruin my marriage and make the dog forget who I am.  [;)]
