Goolie -> Multiplayer...?! (9/24/2008 7:15:09 PM)

How can I play a multiplayer game when there is no multiplayer option on the menu!? Please help.

Barthheart -> RE: Multiplayer...?! (9/24/2008 7:26:50 PM)

It depends on which scenario you are playing? Or are you playing a random game?

Goolie -> RE: Multiplayer...?! (9/24/2008 8:21:50 PM)

Both? is it possible to play a LAN game...?

Barthheart -> RE: Multiplayer...?! (9/24/2008 8:29:15 PM)

Lan games are not possible... hot-seat or PBEM.

When you start a scenario, on the main screen it list the Opponents. Clicking on the "Human" or "AI" lable will cycle through the available options: Human or AI or AI+ or AI++.

Select "Anti PBEM Cheat" for PBEM games or deselect it for head-to-head games and against the AI.

If i select "anti pbem cheat" and select 2 x human player it just starts the game with me being able to control both teams.

Hmm... which scenario so I can try?

DOH!!![:@] You have to select "Passwords" also. then when you start the game it will ask for a password. When your turn is finished either save teh game and send to other players or let the other player have your seat and they will enter a password for their side.

"even steven" folder.... "2 roads" scenario. I don't ever have an option to select/email my opponent.

Barthheart -> RE: Multiplayer...?! (9/24/2008 8:41:20 PM)

See above.

Goolie -> RE: Multiplayer...?! (9/24/2008 8:43:29 PM)

Ohhhh....I see. Not actually ever linked to the opponent then? Im a first time PBEM-er....

Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Barthheart -> RE: Multiplayer...?! (9/24/2008 8:45:07 PM)

No there's no direct connect to the other player(s).

PBEM is lots of fun. It adds a lot to the game. Enjoy.[8D]

Goolie -> RE: Multiplayer...?! (9/24/2008 8:47:21 PM)

...one final stupid question.....is "Hotseat" simply sharing a single computer...?

Barthheart -> RE: Multiplayer...?! (9/24/2008 8:47:45 PM)

Yep.

Goolie -> RE: Multiplayer...?! (9/24/2008 8:50:10 PM)

...i see. Not particularly fast-paced action then!?

Many thanks for answering my questions, if you ever want an easy victory feel free to get in touch!

Barthheart -> RE: Multiplayer...?! (9/24/2008 8:54:19 PM)

Not really fast paced no. But if you arrange a time where you and the other player(s) are all in front of your computers then doing turns and email right away, a game could move pretty fast.

No problem with teh questions. Most players here will answer any that you have. Good group.[&o][8D]

When you want to play just post in the forum and someone will take you up. Playing better players is a great way to learn the game and get ideas. All are always ready to help out... even during a game.

Have fun.[8D]

Goolie -> RE: Multiplayer...?! (9/24/2008 8:56:06 PM)

Thanks.

So how does, say, a 4 player PBEM game work? Does player 1 email player 2....player 2 emails player 3 etc....?

Barthheart -> RE: Multiplayer...?! (9/24/2008 9:01:38 PM)

Yep. I'm involved in one 4 player, one 6 player and a one-on-one.

Lots of fun. Just make sure everyone is in for the long haul. Nothing kills a game like someone dropping out without contact.[:@]
