Tegramon -> Scenario Editor Lat/Long Trouble. (9/26/2008 4:17:46 AM)

I was twidling today with the Scenario Editor in hopes of building something but I got stock on an issue and googled and googled ... manual does not say a thing ... is there a way in the New Scenario Dialog Box to set the coordinates so that I would have degrees and minutes? I wanted to pinpoint a precise location, but I can only enter degrees into the box, which is a bit frustrating. I tried "," and "." D and M notation, but nothing. Any idea if it is even possible to sort this thing out?

The New Scenario command in the scenario editor is only there to create maps. It does not allow you to create map with the degree of detail you seek. i.e. you cannot set the 'minutes'. However, I don't think that you need that level of detail. Just draw a map slightly bigger than the area you want to cover and then you can pinpoint the exact Degree, Minute, and Second on the map.

1) Draw the map that covers your area.
2) Turn on the Mouse-over function with the "N" hotkey. Wherever you move your mouse, the map coordinates at that position will be revealed. Hopefully, this will provide you with the level of detail you desire.

Ok, thanks for the info, it seems that it works now as I expected. I need to add to the Database though a Kilo Klass Submarine. Will look into how to do this, or perhaps just add a normal Kilo one and rename it.

Which database are you using?  AFAIK, most databases have at least one Kilo-class entry for submarines.  Many have more than one entry (depending on the number of countries covered, time periods, etc).  You might just have to look for the entry you want since each database may be organized differently.  For example, the Kilo submarine may be under the name Project 877 instead of the NATO designation, Kilo.

I am using the PlayerDB. I am looking for a KILO, hope I can rename him though.

It is not a problem to re-name a unit with the ScenEditor. Just click on the unit and then hit '7' from the keypad. (make sure that NumLock is off)

Here are some of the Kilos from the PlayersDB:
