Sukaba -> Next patch? (9/26/2008 1:55:47 PM)

I still consider the game unplayable and I’m therefore quite disappointed. [:@]
When can I expect the next and hopefully playable patch to be released? [&:]

Hello Sukaba, did you managed to change the unit's names, cause I didn't have a response from you.

Next patch (1.21) is at the corner and the issue you have reported is repaired.
I think it will become public within two weeks from now.

Thanks for the update. Question, will the patch render ongoing games unplayable? I have a recently started PBEM game (currently preparing for the attack on the Low Countries).

That was indeed an in-depth explanation of what is rendering the game unplayable...

Mike I must say that the changes are quite large (and in PBEM too) so you probably will have to start new game.
Of course you can try to add new files to your save game and tweak version number, but I'm not going to take a responsibility for that.

Thanks for responding. When the patch comes out I will consult my opponent and see if we want to hold off on the patch for our game or restart.

Sgt.Fury25 -> RE: Next patch? (9/29/2008 8:19:30 PM)

Please a better AI![&o]

doomtrader -> RE: Next patch? (9/29/2008 9:42:28 PM)

I'll be honest with you.
This time there are only some tweaks and fixes for AI.

We are plannning that the next patch is going to be focused over AI

It really is going to come down to how well the AI is improved. I would guess that the vast majority want to play this game solo, and if the AI is going to be weak then these solo players will be lost. There is great promise with this game, spend the resources to get the AI competitive. I think we all did a reasonable job beta testing this game for you, reward us with a outstanding product.

doomtrader -> RE: Next patch? (9/30/2008 3:18:34 PM)

mickrock,
I would rather say that wargamers are far more better players than casual gamers and we will try to please you.

gwgardner -> RE: Next patch? (10/12/2008 3:41:07 AM)

It's been a couple of weeks.  Just wondering, do you still intend to release the patch very soon?

(personally I wouldn't mind if you waited till you have done the AI improvements, but ....)

Severian -> RE: Next patch? (10/12/2008 5:24:48 PM)

Yes, Iit's still our intention :)

doomtrader -> RE: Next patch? (10/12/2008 6:07:31 PM)

today we have finished fixing latest problems found in the patch.

Works with the improving of AI has already begun and some major changes has been implemented, but we won't include it in 1.21 because we would like to test it and it really needs some more time that the changes we already made for 1.21.

doomtrader -> RE: Next patch? (10/13/2008 9:54:35 PM)

The patch has already been delivered to our betas.

KuniworthII -> RE: Next patch? (10/19/2008 9:45:35 PM)

Thanks much.  Very soon, time for a new '39 campaign.

Sgt.Fury25 -> RE: Next patch? (10/21/2008 6:43:16 PM)

Hello, just wondering when the update will be released. Thanks[:)]

doomtrader -> RE: Next patch? (10/21/2008 11:43:52 PM)

Should be thursday.

cpdeyoung -> RE: Next patch? (10/24/2008 2:53:20 AM)

Just want you all to know we would love to see this ASAP.  The list of new features is tempting.

Chuck

doomtrader -> RE: Next patch? (10/24/2008 7:55:51 AM)

AFAIK the patch is already done by Matrix.
Due the time difference between Poland and USA I didn't have time to check is the release version ok.
Currently I'm off from my PC and will return there in couple of hours. Hopefuly everything is fine and we will release it to you.

If nothing comes out we are going to continue working over AI and mulberrys and some other stuff for the next patch.

gwgardner -> RE: Next patch? (10/24/2008 1:32:26 PM)

Awesome response, doomtrader.

That bit about the mulberries is certainly intriguing.  First we heard that you were adding that, I believe.

I hope you realize that if you can devise an AI that actually properly uses the mulberries, now that would be remarkable.  As far as I know, none of the games out there right now, like HOI2, have ever had decent amphibious assault AI - DDAY style.

Erik Rutins -> RE: Next patch? (10/24/2008 3:00:47 PM)

As long as there's time to give it a final check today, I expect we would post it as a public beta later today and make it official next week.

cpdeyoung -> RE: Next patch? (10/25/2008 1:04:20 PM)

Good morning Eric,

If you are visiting this site early Saturday morning I would love to see a public beta released for some weekend gaming.  If you can't get it out I will certainly understand, but if you can I will try it out.  If you need a private beta tester I volunteer.

Chuck

gwgardner -> RE: Next patch? (10/25/2008 2:54:11 PM)

Dittos on that.  I checked a couple of times Friday, to my dismay.

Erik Rutins -> RE: Next patch? (10/25/2008 3:20:52 PM)

Not up yet, sorry. Hopefully we'll have the green light for public beta on Monday.

Samichlaus -> RE: Next patch? (10/28/2008 12:53:52 PM)

Where (or should I say: when) is the patch?

gwgardner -> RE: Next patch? (10/29/2008 5:07:24 PM)

Must be a snag with the patch?
