MacDuff -> Battle Casualties (9/30/2008 10:22:28 PM)

I've been looking over the AARs posted for CoG EE. The casualties at the end of the battles seem to be a bit extreme. I believe it was only at the Battle of Liepzig that both sides suffered more than 30,000 casualties (please, correct me if I'm wrong).

Any thoughts on having morale being more of a deciding facture in batlle resultion?

Hard Sarge -> RE: Battle Casualties (9/30/2008 11:26:41 PM)

on one side, don't forget, I am playing on higher Diff levels, so, most times what happens in battle, I have to shoot a unit to death to make it break, plus the AI then gets a big bonus to damage done in return

at the more normal levels, it should be much more depended on morale then numbers

also, in my AAR, it got started almost towards the end, so what was going on, where the Large Army masses, almost every battle is the end of the campaign type

and, to be a little more fair, I didn't report, or write up any or the small battles

like my battle for England, that is a rare battle, and I knew going in, it was going to be a ruff one, so I sent almost everything I had into the area, and going into night, the WTF score was 4 to 6, with me about to lose another 4 points during the night, I lose that battle, they is a very good chance, i lose the whole Campaign (France is not allowed to surrender during the PoN campaign)

also, not saying this for my ego, I am pretty good at this HW stuff, so at times it is a double edged sword having me do a AAR on the game

True - Sarge's AAR's should always carry a disclaimer about his HW abilities.
As I have said before - they are ridiculous... [;)]

Thanks Guys,

On a separate note, I really like the look of the new campaign map. I'm actually thinking about getting this one.

MacDuff,

Don't even think about it.  It's a no-brainer.  It's an excellent game.
