Thanks for the directions. But simply installing SH3 without running it, re-installed Starforce. After the cd crack, I then removed Starforce again. Now it appears to be gone for good.

Why did you suggest removing SH 3 first, in any event ??

Maybe I inadvertantly installed it with Game Shadow. In any case I removed it afterward. Need I go through the whole process again ??

Bit the bullet and re-installed all. At times I believe that copy protection in its various flavors may yet be the death of this hobby.

Sorry for the confusion.  It's probably best to run the SF removal tool after installing the game then placing the no-cd files in before firing it up.
