NFA 2K9 will be available for PC (a 360 port): http://www.2ksports.com/forums/showthread.php?t=185970

...wonder if we might see a football from them at some point down the road? Here's hoping...

APF 2k10 on the PC?  That's what many, many longtime fans of the 2k series have been begging for over the years.  BackBreaker better hurry up with their engine or risk being marginalized by a 2k football release on the PC.

NBA 2k9 on the PC will sell like crazy if they are able to fix the system requirements at a reasonable level - Assassin's Creed, Two Worlds, Oblivion, and BioShock ran great on my less than stellar PC, so if 2k Sports gets NBA 2k9 properly optimized, it will be a big plus for PC sports gaming.

Just a FYI on the system requirements for those interested:

*********************************
Minimum Requirements:
OS: Windows Vista, XP, or 2000 CPU | CPU: Pentium 4 2.4 Ghz Single Core
processor or equivalent (2.8 Ghz for Vista) RAM: 512 MB or more (1 GB for Vista) Disc Drive: 8x or
faster DVD drive | Hard Drive: 10.5 GB or more free space | Video: DirectX 9.0c compatible * | Sound:
DirectX 9.0c compatible | Input: Keyboard or dual-analog gamepad
* Video card with 128 MB or more memory and one of the following chipsets is required: ATI x1300
or greater | NVIDIA 6600 or greater | DirectX 9.0c compatible card with Shader Model 3.0 support.
***********************************
Not bad at all, imo.  Should hopefully be a great first step for Visual Concepts / 2k in releasing their sports titles for the PC (they did release top spin on the PC a while ago, but tennis doesn't count - LOL).

One last thing, then I am done shilling for this game (NBA 2k9) till it drops later this month.  The price is only $19.99 - 1/3 the cost of buying the 360 version.  Pretty impressive.

This is weird just at the beginning of the year it seamed like the PC sports market was being abandoned now all the sudden their has been a shift amongst these companies. Now we have all these choices Backbreaker, Madden's back, NBA 2k7.

This is great because I only play games on the CPU and I heard that 2k7 is the best basketball game out there so I will definitely pick it up. The last NBA live I have is 2003 and I have held off on getting the newer versions because of all the bugs. Hopefully this will encourage companies to consider more Xbox ports.

Wow does it look great!

It is suppose to have all the features of the 360 version as well. I'm not a basketball fan, but for $20 I'll likely pick it up - if anything, just to support 2k Sport's venture to the PC.

I hope it sells like hotcakes! That would really be a good thing.

I might pick this one up I enjoy playing Basketball and was eagerly awaiting sierra's version of the game.

Maximum Football's price is steep but I'm still playing it to this day.  Other games with better graphics and less money stay in my CD case after a month [:(]
