Basilhare -> Newbie Q's (10/7/2008 11:49:02 AM)

I am a novice when it comes to Foootball and/or Sports PC Games and know very little about the subject. I enjoy playing as a diversion from other PC wargames. If I could ask a couple of noob q's:

1. Is there a thread or site that discusses the plays and what each formation is designed to do? Ie., What is the value of a nickel defense vs. a 4-3 basic defense..etc... Offensively, Im just learning which plays are running or passing...how do you tell the difference...etc...

2. What is the Persistant Change check box for?

3. The field position number is superimposed over the time clock...is there a way to fix this? I cant tell what time it is or where the ball is....

And yeah, I know this thread admits that Im a total ditz when it comes to football...I just dont have the time to watch much TV and/or sports so never learned much about our National Passtime...:>)

Thanks

In this formation the selected player will be on the field every time the formation is called (when he is not too fatigued). Sometimes you will have a player on field only for one play so that this feature make sense.
