SmittyG -> .044 DB (10/11/2008 7:48:53 PM)

I have noticed a couple of things that may be issues with the data base that came with version .044. they may be corruptions in my copy.

1. The AL-1A airborne laser aircraft is armed with only a CIWS.

2. The 2 versions of the F-35B have the same speed for Military and Reheat for some altitudes.

3. Some time ago the data base started including multiple sonobuoys in some ASW aircraft loadouts. In the real world the aircraft selects which sonobuoy to use. However, in HCE the aircraft launches one of each. The result was that the sonobuoys stocks were being rapidly depleted. My understanding was that a work around was that the databases were going back to one sonobuoy type per loadout, until the code could select just one sonobuoy at each launch. I noticed many ASW aircraft loadouts have multiple sonobuoy type. Has the code now been changed and what is the logic for selecting a sonobuoy ?

Regards,
Smitty

3. There has been no code change to allow selection of sonobuoy type.

I'll leave the rest of the items for the database folk.

You need an updated version of the HCDB. It is fine in the latest version (HCDB-080824).

A typo. Thanks for pointing it out. Will be fixed in the next version of the HCDB.

The HCDB is going back to one sonobuoy type per loadout. There may be some entries that haven't yet been fixed.
