Hi,

One thing I like about the digital versions of Matrix games is that I can just install the games and launch them when I want to play them without having a CD in the drive. If I buy a boxed copy, will I also be able to play without a CD inserted, or will it be similar to the digital version?

Thanks.

I believe that a game that offers both DL and CD, you do not need the CD in to play.

You DL an exe file that is an installer. The CD version is the same exe plus the printed manual for the ones that state a printed manual.

Edit: Happy Thanksgiving

Haven't seen a Matrix Game that requires a CD in the drive yet! The CD's (hard copy) of most matrix games are just a zip file, same has the digital down load!

No, even the physical copy does not require the CD in the drive. It is just the installer on the CD, protection is same as with the download version via serial number.

Great. One more reason to love Matrix Games. Other companies should follow the example re: DRM :/
