I think I am setting up the QB reads correctly. The problem I am having is that the QB always throws to his first read, no matter how covered. How do I fix this issue? Or can someone type out step by step what commands they put in for the QB to make his reads and throw to the best option?

This was noted in testing.

I don't know exactly how the code runs through the progressions, but the Intelligence skill is used here.

I have experimented with small Look For Pass windows, but often the QB will still toss it to the primary receiver if the receiver is looking for the ball - even if covered.

BTW There is manual. [;)]

Page 61

"A QB using the READ option can .. process the read progression if one is built into the play. About 0,5 of a QB`s total read time is spent processing the read progression. The amount of time processing the read progression is then split evenly among the receivers in the progression order.

... Once the QB´s INTL skill is factored in, a QB may have a total read time of 3,5 seconds, 0,5 of that is allotted to processing the read progression leaving 1,75 seconds. If there are 2 receivers ... each is read for just under 1 second of time.

These read times are not hard coded into the game. Users ... may adjust these time using a text editor."

My concern is how the INT skill plays into the AI knowing if a receiver is covered or not when the progression moves to that receiver.

Do high INT QB's pass less into double and triple coverage than low INT QB's?
