I recall waking up once, tremendously hung over, and crawling over to my computer to find Rome:Total War (back when the game first came out) paused and still running from some time I can't remember the night before. Needless to say, the camera was zoomed out and still trying to pan in the back corner of the map, and zooming back to the middle found my entire Roman army massacred by an errant indepent Gallic village. All I could think was "what the hell did I do??".
Losing anything but the most heavily outnumbered battle in vanilla RTW is similar to losing a boxing match against a 6 year old girl. Never again have I decided to play a saved campaign in any strategy game while doing any "serious" drinking since that incident.
