i don't suppose any knows of a futuristic version of SPWAW or something of a similar genre;)

basicaly i'm on the look out for a turn-based game set in the future that doesn't invlove just planet hopping i've played some good RTS's such as Galactic Battlegrounds and Tiberian Sun plus some golden oldies like Masters of Orion 1 & 2 and a favorate of mine was Imperium Galactica 2 but with my workload i am looking for a turn-based version along similar lines

I recommend you try Titans of Steelv1.4. It is a Turnbased game based in the future. You can get the freeware at the following link.

If you check this game out you will find yourself enmeshed in the best tactical combat game that I've found in 37 years of wargaming :)
