I have just had a couple email exchanges with GKar (and I presume he will be posting his own statement). In effect, has does not appear to have much interest in taking the 2v2 tournament further, especially noting that I myself will not be able to play after the next two weeks. For my part, I must apologize, but I did not anticipate that the games would take so long to play when making my commitment in September of 2008 (I think these games have been taking over 7-8 months!). I would humbly suggest that the 2v2 format is rather risky due to its much longer turnaround times and greater susceptibility to interruption. That said, I am heartened to see that a 1v1 tournament is in the works and I look forward to peeking into the forum from time to time to see how that progresses. IT TRULY HAS BEEN FUN! A GREAT GAME AND A GOOD COMMUNITY. KEEP IT UP!

Lucky1 is right, my interest in the 2vs2 tournament has been dropping for weeks if not months, and since he won't be able to continue soon anyway, we'll resign our two games of round 3 and thus be out of the tournament. One of the games was all but lost anyway, the other one too early to tell. It was a pleasure to play against the various opponents in the tournament, but each round sure takes a long time to play. Good luck to everyone continuing this tournament and also to all players in the new v1.040 tourney. I'm sure that eventually we'll meet again in battle. [;)]

The match-ups for the fourth and last round are: Game – Germany + Japan vs. Russia/China + Wallies 01 - xianing + Marshall Art vs. a511 + rjh1971 02 - a511 + rjh1971 vs. xianing + Marshall Art rjh1971 asked for a slow start (my interpretation of a delay request) [;)] so we get ready and have xianing and a511 start the games and see how much Rafael can wait out knowing he just needs to open the file and play... [8D] Note that you need the very latest patch (V1.040) and latest AWD deluxe files. Good luck and fun to all!

Did anyone start the games? I have only heard from Arthur, not that I'm in a hurry though. Until I don't finish my games against Ramram I can't say how fast I would reply.
