Telumar -> Struggling with the Evil Ed.. again. (11/17/2008 6:02:59 PM)

I would need help in setting up some events related to the EEV, no matter how i try it - i just can't get it to work as i would like it to have..[:(]

So, here is what i want:

I want the force 1 supply radius be dependent on the EEV. When the EEV reaches a certain value (62) it should climb to 10, when it falls back below that specific value, it should fall down to 8 again (the initial supply radius). The event should be infinitely repeatable, so that the supply radius can climb up and down as the EEV raises and falls.

The main problem in getting this to work was that both events (supply radius 8 and supply radius 10) triggered when the EEV reached the higher value.

#1 EEV=61, news only
#2 EEV=62, news only
#3 EvAct 1, supply radius 1 =8
#4 EvAct 2, supply radius 1 =10
#5 EvAct 3, enable 3
#6 EvAct 4, enable 4

Will this probably work? Other than in the initial set-up, events 3 and 4 have changed their places so that event 4 will trigger after event 3..in hope to overwrite it... i also tweaked around with more event cancel/enable events.

I haven't messed with the EEV, so I don't know if it is an automatically repeating event. If it isn't, you might need to enable #'s 1 and 2 each time the other triggers. Event #1 enables #2, and #2 enables #1. If you haven't already tried that.

You are right, but....

I found the following to work:

#1 EEV=62, news only
#2 EEV=61, news only
#3 EvAct 1, supply radius 1 =8
#4 EvAct 2, supply radius 1 =10
#5 EvAct 2, enable 2
#6 EvAct 1, enable 1
#7 EvAct 3, enable 3
#8 EvAct 4, enable 4

[:)] As suggested, it's the order the events are written that brings this to work. Event 3 will fire before event 4 - event 4 then overwrites event 3 and the supply radius is 10.
Interestingly, if i set up events 5 and 6 like this:
#5 EvAct 1, enable 2
#6 EvAct 2, enable 1
event 3 will fire after event 4, overwriting it.

It isn't called the Evil Ed for nothing..
