..yahhh well, i gotta do something with that old Dell, and so i thought, how's about putting Linux in and making it a t3-only machine, i get to move it to the hills, get on with some design work, and boy i need the breathing space, sooooooo.. ..how compatable is t3 with Linux, what bits should i plumb in ?

Try WINE. I know that WITP and SSG games run just fine under Linux/WINE.
