kg_1007 -> Noobie questions (12/2/2008 6:39:57 AM)

Well, I took the plunge and bought this game. It seems promising, especially with all of the user addons available.
I added from a website the NFL League, and when the game started at first it recognized the new league, but then now it seems not to be able to find it, which is question 1...the league's mdb folder, and teams folder, are in the same place as the other leagues, so unsure why the program cannot 'see' them.
And question 2...same thing for playbooks...have them in the same area with the other playbooks, dowloaded hanks, and the program cannot seem to 'see' them. It is very frustrating that a game that is so moddable, contains no information that I have found, on how to add on mods, while it does give instructions for coming up with my own , which I will experiment with.
Thank you all, and look forward to becoming a contributing part of your community as soon as I figure this all out.

Unzip the files and copy it in the "play" folder. Overwrite anything.

playbooks must go direct into the playbooks folder
and cant be in a folder themselves............thats probarbly your problem their

the league file....... it saw the league file now it cant,
Hmmmm........... did you change the name of the league file ?
if you did change it back....... it'll re-appear

hack153 -> RE: Noobie questions (12/2/2008 4:46:15 PM)

if you click on the link below (Hacks Play's...), you can download the playbooks direct.  after downloaded, open the file, grab the Plays folder (or one that has 'Plays' in the name) and place it in the Matrix Games/MF Folder....which should be located on your C: drive.  it will replace the folder.

hope that helps.

Good to have you on board. There are lots of great files to download from FBMAX- uniform art, plays, field art, Stadiums, etc. You'll find the MaxFB community to be very helpful. I've said in another thread that this game quickly becomes an addicting hobby.

I'm the crazy OLD man on the forum.
