I don't think this affects gameplay BUT, there is a mix-up between the styles of German SS and FJ units.
This affects the soldier action animations and the uniform colors.

If you open up the modding workbook, and look under AxsTeams, in column J, the unit styles are listed.

According to the reference tables, German SS = 1, and German FJ = 2.

If you look at the values in column J "Style", all of the SS units are erroneously labeled 2, and the FJ airborne units are labeled 1.

Just highlight that column, click find and replace in your excel, and replace all the 2's with 5's (5 is an unused value) for the time being.
Then find and replace all the 1's with 2's.
Now find and replace all the 5's with 1's.

Save, copy and paste into your Axsteams.txt file in the data folder.
The styles will be corrected.

Actually, it looks like that is an old reference table that should be removed.

Currently, how the style column works, is that there are 4 'style' types for each nation defined in the data files (Styles 0 - 3).  This allows for 4 different types of uniforms/rank images per nation + snow uniforms if desired.  As long as the data in the uniforms.txt and the rank images in the gadgets match up with what is in the teams files, then everything is ok.

There's no mix-up in the database. The reference table needs updating though.
BTW, if you swap the FJ and SS style values...you will end up with a mix-up in the ranks gadgets (SS wearing FJ ranks and vice versa).
As for the soldier uniforms...in stock CCWAR...in non snow maps...Waffen-SS soldiers are wearing green camo (summer pattern), not the brownish/orange dot pattern. Maybe this caused the confusion...they look similar to FJ green Splinter B camo pattern.

Uniforms colors are a bit different for the VetBoB mod by Firefox (based on TT's VetBoB)...I prefer VetBoB's version myself.
