Very nice :p

For us who are unfamiliar with the crew... which one is which of the group?

ivantheterrible -> Is "Paul Vebber" a nickname? (4/24/2002 11:24:40 PM)

I've been into MCLV for a month now and enjoy it TREMENDOUSLY. There is one BURNING question I'd have to ask. Is the Paul Vebber on this forum from Matrix just the guy's nickname or is that his real name? If it's a real name, then is it a coincidence that the main character in MCLV is also named Paul Vebber, whom I assume is a real historical figure right?

Thanks for shedding some light onto this burning subject :)

Grenadier -> (4/25/2002 12:58:19 PM)

Paul Vebber is areal person, the same one always posting to the Forum. I named the princip[al character in Lost Victories after him in honor of all he has done to make SPWaW such a wondeful wargaming experience for me and everyone else and to thank him for all of his hard work.

Paul is the one to the right rear and I am in front of Paul. Krystie, our assistant is to the left and Tom K is behind Krystie. We have just finished going over the lost leaders issue and Krystie is suggesting she can find them by whistling:D :D

Gen.Hoepner -> (4/25/2002 5:50:53 PM)

so the Lost Leader issue is going to be fixed??Great!!! I'm really enjoying playing LV....and the lost leader has probably one usefull feature:it makes u take more care of your squads......i arrived at A nasty Surprise without losing a leader......it's a great experience!!!!!!
BTW :thanks for the hard work!!!!!!!
I'll keep supporting u all!!!!

ivantheterrible -> Thanks for the information (4/25/2002 11:09:59 PM)

Thanks Brent! In one of the earlier scenarios there's a bio on Vebber as well as a vintage photo. It looks really authentic so that's why I thought Vebber is a real historical figure. Very interesting.

By the way, I have lost units but never have the "lost leader" problem for some reason, fortunately! The all come back with the same name and higher experience :D

Mike Oshiki -> Time warp (4/28/2002 2:37:34 AM)

The last time I saw Paul was almost 18 years ago at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Tri-service commissioning ceremony. Compared to the midshipman turned ensign, he now looks like the experienced naval officer - grey hair and all!

Mike
