Just reporting this as its hit a few guys and myself lately. I believe this was mentioned somewhere- maybe under bug fixes or tech- but I thought I'd repeat it. As it's pretty wierd when it hits you. A WTF moment.
You load in a PBEM game- start it up and touch one or two regions when sudenly a window pops up giving a error Message- 123xxx? something- "Unrecognized Seial Number" then crashes your game- thats it, it's gone - though you can try over and over- you are locked out of the game from that moment on- DON'T PANIC. The fix is easy.
You have to uninstall and reinstall your game from your disks- reimputting your serial number- then do the auto load for the patches and reload 1.30, it has all the prior downloads combined- reimputting th e serial number one more time. I dont think the whole thing took 5 or so minutes- I've crapped longer than that. It's easy with your windows add and remove program wizards.
Once this is done you are back to the "Wawah".
It does show you reloaded the game so tell your opponent what happened as you have to redo the turn it crashed under.
Jolly Good- now we can all observe the war together.
