Is there some way to take an inventory of the forces, and subordinates, strengths, etc, other then looking directly at the map?? Don't all games have a 'force tree' to view at a glance what the troops are in a command, where they are, etc?
THANKS!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, there is no separate Order Of Battle screen.

Nor is there a specific hierarchical command structure; headquarters are solely used to activate the units they are adjacent to, so that these units can make attacks.
Which fits in well with the scale of the game (units are corps and thus already encompass lower level HQ's, divisions, artillery etc etc).

Thanks for your response!

One thing I did notice is that the build forces screen does list an inventory of all assets in the right-hand column -- if I am reading that correctly.

Nope - those are scheduled reinforcements and newly built units, not on-map forces.

There is a "next unit" button in strategic phases for flipping through units when allocating replacements, if that is of any use to you.

Thanks, another basic question I have is, after having to close many times the whole GoA program -- how does one exit a scenario and go to the games main screen, without having to reload the entire program?  Boy if we can't do that I think it fair to say this is one homespun game.

Its a homespun game.

Well I'm trying to get into it, but with the homespun nature I'm getting drawn into other games, trying to learn WITP...

Is that a bad thing per se? I've never experienced a game whitch takes so little time to launch or shut down, for example. I think it's refreshing compared to 'professional' games.
