I see you are familiar with the Matrix way of releasing : let the players wait for the release and on release-date give the message "backordered" and let us wait for another month or so at least. It has been so for the last 4 games they released, is this a kind of odd selling method ?? And what's the news on WIP:AE ? should have been released by now but no news anymore , not even a new postponed release-date

Eastern, you are wrong about WITP-AE.

There is much news in the WITP forum, the project is ongoing. Also, there has never been an actual release date for WITP-AE. Many guess at it, but nothing official has ever been released.

NOTE: I do not believe it should be released until it is ready.

It should not have "been released by now". At the moment, we're looking at a Q1 2009 release, which has been officially posted by Erik. Doesn't mean it WILL be a Q1 2009 release, but that's what we're looking at...

Ths may be wishful thinking but I'm hoping for a re-release of Close Combat 2 : A Bridge too Far. I would love to see this again with a fresh coat of paint.

A fantasy or SciFi based tactical turn based wargame

A good sci-fi choice is Galactic Assault: Prisoner of Power from the folks who did Massive Assault. It pretty much sank without trace on launch, and both publishers and developers seem to prefer to pretend it doesn't exist but it is, in fact, an excellent game. If you can find it on e-bay or somewhere it would probably only cost a dollar or two.

Thanks for the tip. Have seen the game before but couldn't decide if it was worth getting.
This also made it an easy decision:
