As Japanese when you use AEs to supply in port, do you have to have them assigned to a Replenishment TF?[sm=character0077.gif]

Good question.  I'd add, do AEs work?  I've attempted to use them but they never seem to do anything.

AEs dont really do anything until 1945 if I read the manual correctly, and even at that I doubt that IF the Japs had a replentishment TF available then it wouldnt work. IIRC the manual says AEs assigned to an allied TF. I have never played in 1945 so I have no experience with it.

Personally I use them as supply transports and cannon fodder.

Yeah, something tells me that in 1945, Japan probably won't be doing that many far-flung operations that would require the use of replentishment TFs... [;)]

Before 1945 they are supposed to replenish the ammo in ships if their TF and the TF being replenished are in a port hex. However, I have been having troubles getting them to actually replenish that ammo, so I'm not sure what's up...
