lancerunolfsson -> I know it's over but the Computer doesn't (12/16/2008 6:40:02 AM)

Game I finished this morning. Germany gets knocked out. Italy Becomes AXIS leader. Eventually Itally gets knocked out. I get a message saying Germany is now the AXIS leader. Game does not end even though there are no active AXIS nations. I can't see how to up load the saved game. Is this a Firefox issue?

The game ends when only one alliance left. Go for Moscov.

Just saw this issue a few times myself when playing AI and looked back here if it was already reported.

The game does not appear to end if there is only one coalition left (plus neutrals). If playing axis, the elimination of the COMINT is reported correctly. But once you knock out all of the western allies as well it is not recognized (at least not in my V1.3 games). Instead the game assigns the leader role to some already extinct faction such as France and goes on. (You are given instead the chance for total hegemony and conquer all remaining neutrals which I never tried.)

Also when playing allies and comintern against AI Axis, the mis-assigned leadership role appears again. In my case the axis leadership went back to Slovakia which at the time enjoyed already Stalin's benign guidance for quite some time. But then after knocking off the Russians, too with the western allies, the game still continued.

It is not really a problem since the game is over at this point anyways. It is just my childish anticipation for the game-end screen and some statistics (not sure what to expect since I never got there).

Thanks, great game though. Look forward to the next patch.
