BK6583 -> Units Assigned HQ Hilight? (1/10/2009 5:14:30 PM)

Total newb here.

Is there a way to click on a HQ and hilight all of its subordinate units?

Benn through the manual a few times but it's not clear to me - just how does arty attack or support ground combat units? It's not clear in the manual if arty has an actual range.

No,

By opposition of TOAW, hilight of the unit in not available in AT.

Counter color correspond to its Headquater color (contrary to toaw, where unit can have a different color than it's HQ). So consult your map.

Another solution is to use the OOB screen for search.

You can see all the subordinate units if you go to the Graph button on the tool bar on left side of screen. Go to Headquarters and select the headquarters you are interested in and it will show you on that screen all the units attached. And if you JUST have to find them all, there is a slow and time consuming method to find every unit. On that screen you can click on a unit and click to go to said unit.

Like Kender79 said, the bar on the left side on the counter corresponds with the bar your HQ has. Note that you can change that colour too. Quite handy actually because sometimes the colours different HQ's are using are very similar, like dark green and darker green.. If you want to change the colour of the bar of the subordinate units, click on the bar of the *HQ unit* (yeah I know it's tiny) in the lower screen where it has all the HQ stats. It then shows you other colours to choose from.

Artillery attack works by clicking on the *art attack*  button in your lower screen. It lowers the readiness (the green "health bar" in the battle screen) of the enemy units. Now you may not notice it does a lot, but wait till you get a few art pieces together, maybe upgraded too, then they really will pound away at the enemy. It really will affect their will to fight, meaning your troops will have a much easier task on their hands. Units with a readiness of 20 or lower are easy pickings for your units.
