Soapy Frog -> Ghost Units after uograde to 1.05.03 (1/25/2009 4:33:49 PM)

We've run into a problem that has stopped our PBEM game: problem is that after upgrading to 1.05.03, a ghost corps and ghost garrison (both empty) have appeared spontaneously in Luxembourg. I cannot end my (France's) eco phase as it demands I remove these units, but there is no way I can.

So we are stuck; Marshall I sent you an email with the savegame, hopefully it can be fixed?

Just in case I attach the save game to this post as well.

The same for me :
French and prussian corps and depot appeared in Prussia !!! in the same areas !
We are at Reinforcement phase !

And a french stack (5 of 6 counters) appeared in holland.
When I click on the area : only 1 corps with Davout left on the area !!!!! The other disappear.

Any progress? The natives are restless...

Yes. I have added a removal prompt so that you may proceed. I cannot trace where the units were or how they got there??? BUT we are alloing the removal at the prompt. This was added to the 1.05.04 hot fix patch!

I have also manually removed your units so that you can move on so here is your game!

Much appreciated Marshall!

Hmm for whatever reason the units are still there...!! Still can't move on :(

Also I noticed in the log it says "max units reached" that can't be good!

I just reloaded your game and it is working fine here??? Units are gone and I can proceed???
I even pulled my zip from the post above and it is still working fine???
Are we using the same files?

I assure you I am loading from the files you attached above. The ghost units are still present; oddly they appear Austrian until I click on them and then they turn French. I have tried even ending my phase without doing anything, no dice.

I am still on version 1.05.03 of course since I havent seen any newer version yet; is it possible you are using a newer/fixed version? I don't understand the discrepency otherwise.

I've downloaded the files and although I see the units you mention, it doesn't stop me ending the turn.

Ok, I reverted to 1.05.03 and reloaded with the same results ??? Units gone and I can proceed??? Try clearing your battles dir.
